Duration: Contract
Pay Rate: $40.00 HR
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

Position OverviewWe are partnering with a leading aerospace and defense organization to hire an experienced A&P Mechanic III. This position is responsible for performing advanced aircraft maintenance, repairs, inspections, troubleshooting, and component replacements to ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with FAA regulations and company quality standards.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in aircraft systems, airframe maintenance, power plant mechanics, and aircraft component repair. This role requires a safety-focused professional who can work independently while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and regulatory compliance.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft airframes, engines, and related systems.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and replace defective aircraft components and assemblies.
- Conduct functional and operational testing to verify aircraft performance and airworthiness.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and engineering documentation.
- Complete aircraft inspections and maintenance documentation in accordance with FAA and company requirements.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations, industry standards, and company procedures.
- Utilize specialized tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing instruments to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams, inspectors, and engineering personnel to resolve technical issues.
- Support aircraft return-to-service activities and quality assurance initiatives.
- Active and current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification with no prior FAA violations.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Typically 5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience.
- Advanced experience performing aircraft repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting, and component replacement.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Aircraft maintenance
- Aircraft repair
- Airframe maintenance
- Powerplant mechanics
- Aircraft component replacement
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Must possess reliable transportation.
- Must provide and maintain personal aircraft maintenance tools in good working condition.
- Ability to pass and maintain Class III physical requirements, including hearing evaluation.
- FAA Repair Station experience.
- Quality Assurance or aircraft inspection experience.
- Aerospace & Defense industry experience.
- U.S. Military aviation maintenance background.
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
- Ability to travel as required.
- Flexibility to work alternate shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required.
