Position: Program Quality Engineer I

Position Overview

Are you known for your attention to detail and ability to solve complex quality problems? This may be the position for you! As a Quality Engineer I, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products and production equipment meet the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the design and testing of processes, mechanisms, and equipment to meet quality standards.
  • Develop standardized quality acceptance criteria and write detailed inspection procedures.
  • Review and evaluate in-process rejections, obtain dispositions, and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Conduct and participate in internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Utilize statistical analysis and other control/risk mitigation techniques to improve quality processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of quality control procedures and findings.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and other teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into the product lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. 0–2 years experience as a Quality Engineer or in a related field. Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of related experience is required.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Familiarity with Quality System requirements and contract quality requirements; basic understanding of manufacturing and inspection; ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures.
  • Security: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship status is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Experience in manufacturing and inspection.
  • General knowledge of ISO 9001, AS 9100 standards.
Essential Functions
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Requirement to be on feet for a significant portion of the work shift.
  • Majority of work hours spent on a computer.
  • Hand/finger dexterity for using testing and inspection tools.
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required for audits and supplier visits.
Compensation

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $71,338.47 - $98,090.40. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

Security Clearance Requirements

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required because this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF) handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
