This position holds procurement management and delegation responsibility for all applicable supplier agreements and contracts within the established authority.
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education,
• 3+ years of professional experience,
• Professional experience in Supply Chain Management (i.e… Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, Program Management, and/or Category Management)
• You will need to be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a US SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work:
Denver, Colorado, and be expected to work in the office.
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:
- Master's degree.
- Previous professional experience leading negotiations with suppliers to ensure cost and schedule objectives are captured in contractual commitments
- Previous professional experience with the procurement and management of specialized materials, complex assemblies, and equipment.
- Knowledge of standard acquisition policies and procedures
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and contracting types
- In-depth knowledge of all types of contracts and how to utilize which type in various program scenarios
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and changes in deadlines
- Experience with long-form subcontracts utilizing Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP)
- Aerospace program negotiation skills and experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and work well under pressure
- Experienced presenter to Program Management and Customer representative
- Self Motived with a demonstrated sense of urgency and ownership, and accountability for tasks/assignments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of management
- Ability to be flexible and accept change
- Must be able to resolve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment; ability to analyze a problem and recommend solutions by exercising sound problem-solving skills
