Geotechnical Staff Engineer

Position

Experienced Geotechnical Staff Engineer

• Work in the field conducting materials testing and construction observation services.
• Prepare and communicate field issues with field staff, senior‑level engineers and clients.
• Transition into a project manager role overseeing project activities.

• A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• At least 5 years’ experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license.
• Must pass a background search, physical and drug test.

• Field experience with moisture‑treatment of expansive soils.
• Familiarity with "over‑excavation" processes.
• Experience with nuclear moisture-density testing.
• Knowledge of foundation construction relating to expansive soils (e.g., drilled piers, floating slab‑on‑grade floors, interrupted footings).
