Basic Qualifications

  • Post secondary degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.

Join Our Team as a Project Engineer where you will work on the development of a sophisticated state‑of‑the‑art avionics product in a world‑class Integrated Product Development environment.

Location

This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Englewood or Littleton, CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full‑time.

Key Activities You Will Accomplish In This Role
  • Ensure that projects are completed on cost and schedule following established procedures, schedules, and work plans.
  • Coordinate the planning, organizing, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within your area of assigned responsibility.
  • Ensure engineering is coordinated across program and suppliers.
To Be Effective In This Role, You Will Need
  • Prior technical project leadership experience.
  • 3+ years professional experience.
  • While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; thus US citizenship is required.
Desired Skills
  • Prior project management experience and Control Account Management (CAM) experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope.
  • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change.
  • Experience in project management principles (cost, schedule, technical).
  • Knowledge of program lifecycle and how early achievements may drive future costs.
  • Experience using JIRA or Version 1 or similar tools for project planning and tracking.
  • Experience throughout the engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test, and operational deployment).
  • Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in Business Rhythm creation.
  • Demonstrated presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Leadership experience.
Ability to work remotely

Onsite full‑time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
