Senior Cad Designer / Mechanical Designer

We are searching for an experienced CAD Designer / Mechanical Designer to assist in structural and mechanical engineering projects centered on the bulk material handling sector.

This role involves extensive work in 2D/3D CAD modeling, drafting, arrangements, fabrication drawings, and engineering assistance for large-scale material handling systems and equipment. The role collaborates closely with Engineers, Project Managers, vendors, and clients during project implementation.

• Create intricate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for bulk material handling systems and associated equipment
• Produce layouts, fabrication drawings, schematic drawings, and scale drawings in line with project specifications
• Assist structural and mechanical engineering teams with CAD modeling and drafting tasks using established drafting standards and procedures
• Collect project data and prepare drawings for fabrication release and client approval
• Check, modify, and update drawings for accuracy and adherence to project requirements
• Decode technical reports, engineering specifications, and design documentation
• Perform dimensional calculations and layout verification to ensure correct configurations and fit-up
• Apply rigorous "Good Engineering Practices" while contributing to drafting enhancements, problem-solving solutions, and innovative design feedback
• Communicate directly with clients, vendors, Engineers, Supervisors, and Project Managers throughout project execution
• Maintain project schedules, drawing quality, and deliverables
• Guide Junior Designers, CAD Technicians, and Interns

• 6+ years of CAD drafting and design experience
• 5–6+ years of experience in the bulk material handling sector
• Solid background in crafting detailed structural and mechanical drawings
• Able to work in multi-disciplinary engineering project environments

• AutoCAD (2D & 3D)
• Advance Steel (preferred but not required)
• Solid Works
• Inventor

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred, not mandatory

• Fluency in Spanish, German, or Italian considered advantageous

• Starting salary approximately $102K+ DOE
• Final compensation will align with overall experience and technical background
