We are seeking a Senior Staff Electrical Component Engineer to serve as the parts engineering Team Lead for the TMK2 program, directing Electrical/ Electronic/ Electromechanical (EEE) Parts Engineering and developing the program EEE Parts management plan. The role evaluates new technologies and works closely with survivability, design, test, manufacturing engineers, agencies such as DLA, part manufacturers and test labs to develop and evaluate innovative technology that survives harsh environments in strategic systems.

For over 60 years the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) team has supported the Navy’s mission by providing an affordable and credible strategic defense. The program is experiencing significant growth and requires expertise to deliver new technologies while maintaining technical requirements of strategic deterrence.

• Define and lead Electrical/ Electronic/ Electromechanical (EEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture, and test.
• Define and lead the strategic approach to selection, qualification, test, and failure analysis of EEE Parts.
• Prepare technical and progress reports, specifications, evaluate suppliers, and analyze test reports.
• Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain.
• Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, ICs, hybrids, crystals, oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, thermistors.
• Travel and collaborate with suppliers and government agencies to ensure component selections meet quality expectations and product performance requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers through leadership on technical mentoring plans and development opportunities.

• Formal coursework, training, experience and/or knowledge in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits, semiconductor physics, and operation of devices such as hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes, and capacitors.
• Advanced knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials, and processes used in EEE parts.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings and/or specifications and providing guidance to design and test teams.
• Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.).
• Experience or knowledge of failure analysis, destructive physical analysis and/or root‑cause and corrective action analysis related to EEE parts.
• Eligibility/willingness to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance; US citizenship required.

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Materials Engineering with emphasis on electrical parts, semiconductor physics or related field of study.
• Familiarity with technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.).
• Experience leading and presenting in major program milestone reviews such as PDR and CDR.
• Advanced understanding of nuclear effects on EEE parts and ability to work closely with Survivability Engineers in strategic rad‑hard applications.
• Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements.
• Advanced understanding of worst‑case analysis (WCA)/EEE parts derating and end‑of‑life requirements.
• Experience leading the evaluation of current and developing technologies for EEE parts in complex design packages.
• Active or current Secret Security Clearance.

This position requires a government security clearance. Clearance level:
Secret. Eligibility/willingness to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance; US citizenship required.

9×80 every other Friday off. Incentive plan eligible.
