* Kimley-Horn's Denver Tech Center office is seeking a Land Use Permitting Project Manager with 7+ years of experience to join their Environmental team! This is not a remote position.
** Responsibilities*
* + Author, compile and manage land use permit applications (including special use, conditional use and major use permits) in Colorado and adjacent states.
+ Author due diligence and resource reports and varying project planning documents in support of local (county/municipal) and state land use permits.
+ Assess project impacts on the natural, physical, and human environment and, as appropriate, assist in the development of minimization and mitigation measures.
+ Attend meetings and communicate with clients and various regulatory agencies to identify and fulfill any regulations and requirements relating to projects.
+ Monitor and adhere to project progress, budgets, and schedules.
+ Support multidisciplinary teams on a variety of projects, with a primary focus on renewable energy and electric transmission projects.
+ Build internal and external professional relationships.
+ Work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors.
** Qualifications*
* + 7+ years of relevant experience, including land use permitting in Colorado and/or adjacent states.
Experience with NEPA a plus.
+ Bachelors or Masters Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Socioeconomics, or related field
+ Ability to work with diverse project stakeholders and various jurisdictions
+
Experience with renewable energy and power projects preferred
+ Possess strong technical writing skills and have experience writing detailed technical reports
+ Working knowledge or strong interest in ArcGIS
+ Enjoy working in both an office environment and in the field
+ Interest in working with planners and designers to avoid and minimize project impacts and find creative solutions to move projects forward
+ Willingness and flexibility to travel for projects as needed
+ Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
+ Desire to provide exceptional client service
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities
+ Strong interpersonal skills
+ Ability to enjoy work independently and on a team
Salary Range:
+ $95,000 - $155,000
+ Eligible for performance based bonuses
