Power Systems Studies Analyst

** Overview*
* Kimley-Horn is seeking a Power Systems Analyst with 3+ years of experience to join our Power Delivery team in our Denver, CO (Greenwood Village) office. With a focus on serving clients within the power delivery and energy sectors, the Power Systems Analyst will act as a technical expert in the analysis of power systems transient and steady state. This is an in-office position.

** Responsibilities*
* + Support the power electrical team to analyze systems, create software models, and write reports for various projects e.g. commercial, industrial and generation projects

+ Studies performed may include (per candidate experience):

+ Load Flow / Reactive Power Analysis

+ Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination studies using ETAP or any steady state power system tool

+ Transient studies using PSS/E and PSCAD

+ Harmonic studies using ETAP, PSCAD or transient software

+ Partner with the electrical team to create calculations and drawings for various project types

+ Continually gain knowledge in power & energy industry

+ Assist with project design, specifications, and plans support

+ Review work with quality in mind to confirm compliance with Kimley-Horn quality standards

** Qualifications*
* + 3+ years' experience as an Electrical Engineer for an engineering firm doing power studies.

+ Master's degree in Electrical Engineering

+ ETAP experience reqiured

+ Load Flow, Coordination, Short Circuit, and Arc Flash studies basic theory and methodology (and ability to create models)

+ Proficiency using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD)

+ The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively

+ The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment

** Salary Range:*
* $90,000 - $110,000

Eligible for Performance Based Bonus Compensation
