Are you experienced in securing Right-of-Way (ROW), Access, Right-of-Entry, and Encroachment Permits for utility or infrastructure projects? We're seeking a ROW Permitting Specialist to support transmission and distribution construction projects by coordinating permits, working with public agencies, and ensuring projects remain compliant and on schedule.
If you have experience working with state DOTs, railroads, municipalities, or utility contractors, we'd love to connect.
What You'll Do
- Research federal, state, and local permitting requirements for transmission and distribution construction projects.
- Prepare, review, and submit permit packages for agencies and jurisdictions.
- Coordinate Right-of-Way, Access, Right-of-Entry, Road Crossing, and Encroachment permits.
- Track permit status through approval and maintain accurate documentation.
- Partner with engineering, civil, construction, and restoration teams to gather project information.
- Update and maintain permit data within ArcGIS Online (AGO) and other tracking systems.
- Participate in field reviews and site visits to support permitting and constructability efforts.
- Assist with project meetings, stakeholder communications, and permit closeout activities.
- Support change management by documenting revisions to construction plans and permit requirements.
Preferred Background
- Experience securing permits for utility, transmission, distribution, civil, transportation, or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity working with agencies such as:
- Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT)
- Union Pacific Railroad
- BNSF Railway
- Regional Transportation District (RTD)
- County and City Public Works/Road & Bridge departments
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Experience with ArcGIS Online (AGO) is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external agencies.
