Description
Our team is looking for an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join the team in Summer 2027.
Responsible for project support of the mechanical effort on Oil & Gas projects including:
Compressor Stations
Meter Stations
Pump Stations
Pipeline Installation
Natural Gas Processing Plants
Central Gathering Facilities
Responsible for working directly with fellow members of the mechanical engineering team & mechanical design team for project execution support.
Ability to travel to support field work activities (including site commissioning).
Engineering experience including:
P&IDs
Process/Hydraulic Calculations
Engineering Evaluations
Ability and willingness to take direction from senior staff and ask question to ensure quality deliverables.
Review & preparation of line lists & equipment lists.
Review of project isometrics to make sure they comply with project requirements set forth by the client.
Ability to effectively communicate within project team to resolve project issues.
Work with Mechanical Engineering team for successful execution of projects while continuing to learn and develop.
This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week.

Essential skills and experience:BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering with a graduation
Engineering experience in the design of mechanical engineering systems for non-commercial, heavy industrial plants (power plant – essential, oil & gas, or chemical – valued), with a focus on integrated, detailed system design for new plants, modifications, or replacements;
Experience must include the selection of equipment, piping materials, control philosophy, and the preparation of supporting calculations and specifications.Customer service oriented with a passion for high customer satisfaction and achieving project execution excellence.
Ability to interact with all levels of staff including senior management, clients, and other disciplines.
Ability to analyze, define, and solve problems.
Ability to prioritize workflow, multitask, meet deadlines, and remain flexible.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program.
Oil and Gas industry experience in midstream and/or upstream desirable.
Knowledge of Mechanical Equipment and Piping systems desirable.
You are expected to take engineering problems from issue to solution using data and modern tools such as automation and AI to improve workflows, reduce rework, and deliver cost-effective designs.
Many engineers in these roles build or use automation to create calculations, summarize technical documents, or draft design documentation, including appropriate use of agentic AI tools, with strong engineering judgment and verification of results.
Programming or scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB, advanced Excel) to automate calculations, design checks, reporting, or data transformation is valued but not required.
We also value additional learning, such as a minor, certificate, or other training in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields that helps you apply automation or agentic AI to real engineering problems.
