As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading complex mechanical engineering projects, providing expert guidance, and ensuring the highest standards of design and performance. • Lead a small team and manage complex mechanical engineering projects.
• Provide expert guidance on the design and development of mechanical systems.
• Perform high-level analyses and simulations to ensure optimal performance.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers on mechanical engineering practices.
• Prepare and review detailed technical documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related role.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Expert understanding of mechanical design principles and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Understanding of engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
• Ability to Obtain and maintain United States Secret security clearance.

• Master’s or PhD in a related field.
• Experience with technical management of suppliers and supplier data.
• Previous experience utilizing 3DExpierence and CATIA.
• Experience applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
• Understanding of Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Thermal Analysis.
• Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes.
• Experience with model based systems engineering (MBSE) tools such as CAMEO.
• Knowledge of environmental requirements for components utilized in aircraft and space applications.
• Experience providing technical guidance to a diverse team of engineers on issues related to mechanical engineering.
• Experience with manufacturing, production, and product support to include disposition of engineering non-conformances.
• Experience with stakeholder and leadership communication.
• Familiarity with FAA , NASA, and/or DoD design and construction regulations.

• Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
• Applying systematic and logical problem-solving techniques to develop mechanical designs.
• Clearly convey technical information, design specifications, and project updates to team members, stakeholders, and management.
• Ability to understand technical documents, designs and test reports.
