For over 60 years, the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) team has supported the Navy’s mission to provide affordable and credible strategic defense. We offer unique career opportunities and challenges on a program with a rich history and exciting future. We help keep this nation and our allies secure. The FBM Program is experiencing significant growth and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers while maintaining the technical requirements of the strategic deterrence.

Lockheed Martin (LM) is looking for ambitious engineers to become a member of the System Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) Team and join our Early Career Rotation Program. (SEIT-ECRP) Candidates may have anywhere from 0 to 4 years of work experience, with both entry-level and experienced early-career roles available.

The FBM SEIT-ECRP is a rotation program within the FBM SEIT directorate designed to develop early career engineers. This program duration is 3 years, consisting of 4 rotations across a variety of Systems Engineering teams across the FBM Program, typically 9 months in duration each, designed to develop technical expertise in early career engineers. Participants can expect each rotation to offer experience in a different facet of systems engineering with optional opportunities in leadership development, creating a holistic experience across the systems engineering lifecycle across the 4 rotations.

Participants pursue rotations within the SEIT directorate and beyond that interest and challenge them as well as support business needs. Participants will connect with mentors who can help them set goals and provide professional development assistance and are encouraged to explore unfamiliar areas of expertise. Upon completion of SEIT-ECRP, participants will have a strengthened technical foundation, a comprehensive network, and an understanding of both Lockheed Martin Space and the FBM program.

Based out of Englewood, CO, participants will have the opportunity to choose rotations across teams in the complete FBM Systems Engineering organization, with possible rotations in adjacent teams across the FBM Programs. The program will work with each participant to assign appropriate groups for their rotational experience to create a personalized rotation plan. Upon graduation of the program, each participant will select a long term assignment based on availability in the FBM Program.

As Systems Engineers, selected applicants can expect to perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
