About The Role
This role presents an opportunity to contribute to a team at the forefront of ratings innovation focused on structured finance. Financial markets are constantly evolving, and this role supports the timely delivery of high-quality credit opinions on innovative and complex structured finance transactions backed by ABS assets, while maintaining analytical consistency and rigor across rating practices.
Responsibilities And Impact- Serve as primary analyst on structured finance ABS transactions, performing end‑to‑end credit analysis, cash flow modeling, and presenting findings to rating committees
- Lead analytical work on innovative and complex ABS structures while maintaining consistency with S&P's rating criteria and analytical approaches
- Engage with market participants in pre‑engagement discussions to provide market education and assess rating feasibility of novel structures
- Collaborate with cross‑functional analytical teams across different practices and regions to deliver comprehensive rating solutions for esoteric transactions
- Review legal and operating documents for transaction consistency, provide structured feedback to external parties, and manage client relationships
- Contribute to knowledge sharing through training initiatives, market commentaries, podcasts, and webinars to enhance S&P's market presence
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $150,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

What We’re Looking For BasicRequired Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in structured finance and credit analysis with demonstrated expertise in ABS transactions
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field from an accredited institution
- Strong proficiency with financial modeling tools such as Excel and experience with cash flow analysis and modeling
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present complex analytical findings to internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with ability to assess new asset and structural risks within rating frameworks
- Proven ability to multi‑task, manage deadlines under pressure, and work collaboratively in team environments
- All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week
- We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in‑person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or CFA designation with continued professional development in structured finance
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, VBA, C++, or MATLAB for advanced financial modeling
- Experience with cross‑practice collaboration and exposure to multiple structured finance asset classes
- Demonstrated track record in client relationship management and market education initiatives
