Nonprofit VP of Finance

Our client is seeking a hands‑on, mission‑focused Vice President of Finance to join their leadership team and play a critical role in advancing the financial health and long‑term sustainability of their growing nonprofit organization. This is an opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and can confidently move between board presentations and day‑to‑day operational accounting.

• Lead financial reporting and present financial results to the Board of Directors
• Manage the month‑end close process, annual budgeting, and forecasting
• Track donations, grants, and capital campaign expenditures
• Process bi‑weekly payroll and oversee related reporting
• Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and manage annual audits
• Oversee employee benefits administration
• Manage treasury operations, banking relationships, and cash flow
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and reporting requirements
• Continuously improve financial processes, controls, and reporting accuracy

• Successful candidates will bring both technical expertise and a collaborative, service‑oriented mindset.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7–10 years of progressive nonprofit accounting and reporting experience
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit financial statements, fund accounting, and compliance
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills required
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to Boards
• A proactive, hands‑on approach with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically

Salary: $130‑150K, depending on experience
