This position will support Swedish Medical Center and additional HCA hospitals in Denver, Colorado, within the Patient Access area. Qualified candidates must live in the Denver Market area.

Leadership Development Program

During your time in the Leadership Development Program – Patient Access Hospital (PTAC LEAD), you will receive classroom & field training focusing on enhancing your management and technical skills to ensure you are knowledgeable in all aspects of the hospital patient access area’s business functions. You will work in key areas of the hospital operation, working side‑by‑side with CEOs, COOs, Directors, Managers and PTAC staff.

The Patient Access area of a hospital directly interacts with patients and functions as a central point of contact across the organization, with patients and their families. The Patient Access team is responsible for receiving and greeting patients and visitors, answering patient inquiries and assisting patients with registration documents as required by the facility. In this role, the selected individual will be required to work a variety of shift schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, etc.

Qualifications
  • 12- to 16- month commitment to the LEAD Program
  • BS or BA degree required (or working toward completion of a BA or BS). Health Science, Public Health, Healthcare Administration & Hospitality degrees are a plus.
  • MBA degree helpful but not required
  • Overall GPA must be a minimum 3.0 for BS or BA and MBA (if applicable)
  • Minimal experience in healthcare, healthcare management or finance is preferred
