Become a host home provider.
These providers welcome an adult with developmental disabilities into their home to live like part of the family.
You may need to assist them with daily living tasks including basic hygiene, food preparation, eating, transportation to and from appointments, dressing, and maintaining a clean living environment.
You will be required to provide care and supervision for your client whenever he or she is at home with you. Depending on your client they may be able to be left alone for up to 4 hours at a time. They will also likely participate in a job or day program outside of your home 6-8 hours per day 4-5 days per week.
Background Checks are an annual requirement. A clean background is a requirement for all adults in your home to be eligible for this position.
Compensation is dependent upon the level of needs of your specific client.
Host Home Providers are paid monthly as Independent Contractors.
