POSITION SUMMARY

The Therapy Equipment Supervisor is responsible for managing the clinical equipment, coordinating with vendors and manufacturers, supporting clinical operations, leading staff, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. This role ensures efficient equipment utilization, timely support for patients, and a high standard of operational excellence within the clinical departments.

Rate of pay: $42.17 - $61.56 per hour based on experience

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: “A current Colorado occupational therapy or physical therapy license or licensed in another state and application made for a Colorado license.” Assistive Technology Practitioner (ATP) certification preferred. If an OT, registered by AOTA as an Occupational Therapist is required. Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association
  • Education:

    “A degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association or a degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university.”
  • Experience:

    “2–3 years of clinical experience with neurologic injuries required. Prior leadership experience preferred.” Advanced knowledge of PT/OT practices specific to wheelchair assessment and discharge planning preferred. Strong understanding of CMS and payer regulations for equipment justification.
  • Skills & Abilities: “Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to determine the time, place and sequence of operation or action to be taken on the basis of analysis of data; execute determinations and/or report on events.” Excellent organization and customer service skills. Skill in tracking metrics, generating reports, and analyzing operational performance. Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities and prioritize and schedule accordingly.

    Must be able to successfully and effectively communicate with a variety of personnel. Advanced supervisory, team-building, conflict resolution, and communication skills, both verbal and written, are required. Work collaboratively with other departments and physicians. Must have the ability to apply strong clinical knowledge and decision‑making regarding seating/positioning and various mobility systems to purchase and maintain appropriate equipment for persons with neurologic disabilities.

    Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Supervise operational/maintenance staff, DME Coordinators, and rehab engineering staff.
  • Oversee the management of Craig's equipment inventory, including fleet (wheelchairs, bath equipment, cushions/backrests), donated, loaner, and therapy equipment.
  • Manage inventory, including documentation, budget tracking, purchasing, and reordering.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and servicing of clinic equipment.
  • Track equipment usage and outcomes to optimize fleet/inventory efficiency.
  • Serve as primary liaison for equipment manufacturers and vendors.
    Schedule and coordinate new equipment demos and staff in services in collaboration with Training & Development.
  • Lead staff meetings.
  • Lead orientation, onboarding, education, succession planning and coverage planning for reporting staff.
  • Maintain, update, and communicate policies and procedures related to clinic operations.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital standards, manufacturer guidelines, and insurance regulations.
  • Coordinate with foundations and funding organizations for donated or funded equipment.
  • Ensure proper documentation and follow‑up for foundation‑provided equipment.
  • Track operational metrics and provide reports on fleet usage, order status, and maintenance needs.
