Century Group is in search of an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a team in the Englewood, CO. Qualified candidates with 2-5+ years of accounting experience are encouraged to apply. Local candidates only. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $70,000 to $85,000 per year.

Job Description:
  • Processes payroll within Company assigned frequencies, which includes compiling payroll data such as hours worked, taxes, insurance, and withholding union dues, and preparing and issuing paychecks.
  • W2 and 1099 processing
  • Processes timely and accurate wage assignments, garnishments, child support orders, and employment verifications.
  • Audits all system entries for new hires, status and compensation change and termination submissions with the support of the HR Data Entry team.
  • Responds and resolves payroll inquiries in a timely and compliance manner and within prescribed methods.
  • Analyzes payroll reports such as Certified Payroll, Job Cost Association, Gross Payroll Registers, Vacation Reports to ensure accurate and timely tracking and accruals.
  • Perform additional assignments per management's direction.
  • Supports reconciliation of outstanding payroll checks with the corporate Accounting team.
Requirements:
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP system skills
  • 2-5 years payroll experience
  • Full-cycle payroll
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Construction Industry knowledge (a plus)
  • Multi-state (preferred)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities
