Cloud Solutions Engineer

Overview

The Cloud Solutions Engineer role located in Greenwood Village, CO focuses on delivering administration, maintenance, and ongoing support of the shared cloud environment. The position involves building automation for cloud lifecycle and operations, supporting customer access to the cloud web interface, and collaborating with architects and escalation teams to resolve issues. You will communicate progress, status, and root cause to customers and assist with DNS, IP, and firewall concerns within the cloud environment.

• Deliver administration, maintenance, and ongoing support of the shared cloud environment
• Build, configure, tune, and implement automation for cloud lifecycle and operational improvement
• Support the web interface used by customers to access their cloud environment
• Evaluate, develop, implement, optimize, and configure customer cloud environments
• Establish and maintain proficiency on emerging technologies through self-study and on-the-job training
• Escalate issues and defects as necessary
• Work directly with escalation teams (development, network, or engineering) until incidents are resolved
• Provide routine communication with customers on progress, status, and root cause
• Support customers with DNS, IP, and firewall issues regarding the cloud environment
• Collaborate with architects to reproduce and resolve customer issues

• 4-7 years of experience
• Solid networking experience and troubleshooting; UNIX systems and automation
• Experience with integration scripting technologies
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Experience using Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud
• Knowledge of industry standards and standard organizations (e.g., ITIL, TOGAF, PMP)
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Power Shell for automation tasks
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, software applications, and design
• Systems knowledge (Linux, Unix)
• Basic knowledge in TCP/IP and the OSI Model
• Proficiency with ticketing and software tools for current operations
• Familiarity with software design tools (e.g., Lucid Chart or Visio)
• Strong understanding of virtualization types; OS and database administration
• Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, applications, and trends
• Understanding of design principles around networking, storage, and servers
• Good understanding of APIs and related tools
• Experience designing and operating medium to large-scale enterprise or cloud infrastructure, databases, and application systems
• Experience with data infrastructure
• Passion for cloud software, tooling, and automation; comfortable with command line tools and scripting
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to perform duties in a fast-paced environment and quickly learn new technology

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably believe we would pay at posting for this role. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.

Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
