The Systems Administrator plays a pivotal role in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the South Platte Renew (SPR) IT systems. This position combines expertise in systems analysis, hardware/software integration, and SQL Server database management to lead critical projects and ensure the seamless day-to-day operation of the SPR technology infrastructure.
The position requires a solid problem-solving capacity and technical understanding to analyze needs, identify hardware/software options, configure systems, and solve problems. The Systems Administrator must also support and train users on various SPR computer hardware, applications, and systems. This position receives general direction from the Business Solutions Supervisor at SPR and works closely with the City of Englewood (COE) IT staff.
It must work well independently and with teams while providing superior customer service.
This position is located at South Platte Renew.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Hardware/Software Integration and Technical Support:
Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and consultation for hardware, software, and AV; manages inventory; coordinates with COE IT staff and vendors on solutions; trains staff; installs, configures, maintains, and upgrades end-user hardware and software; and documents equipment issues and resolutions. - Systems Administration:
Installs, configures, and maintains servers and other computer systems; monitors system performance and troubleshoots issues; manages user accounts, permissions, and access controls; implements and manages backup and recovery procedures; ensures system security through updates, patches, and security measures; develops and maintains system documentation; collaborates with SPR and COE IT staff to ensure system efficiency; and plans and implements system enhancements and new technologies. - Program & Project Management:
Supports organizational IT programs and projects to meet objectives and milestones, establish budgets, track expenditures, prepare reports and coordinates with vendors to ensure effective support to maintain system functions and effective operations. - Systems Analysis:
Develops long-term strategies for future desktop hardware/software needs; provides systems management integration and complex troubleshooting; analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves IT problems; prepares documentation for installation, configuration, and disaster recovery; provides input on new technologies, ensuring systems are up-to-date and efficient.
