Position: Senior Network Engineer (Mortgage)

Job Summary

Senior Network Engineer – Hybrid (Denver, Colorado). Lead advanced network support and engineering for complex LAN/WAN/Cloud environments, mentor junior staff, and drive multi‑project initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead team initiatives and provide guidance to engineers.
  • Act as a mentor to less experienced team members, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Take on a leadership role in cross‑functional teams and provide strategic direction for complex network projects.
  • Lead medium‑to‑large‑scale IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop project plans, coordinate resources, and manage project timelines.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Participate in strategic planning for IT network infrastructure, including capacity planning and technology roadmaps.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve network performance and efficiency.
  • Design and implement enterprise‑class network infrastructure.
  • Plan and deploy network solutions using private, public, virtualization and hybrid cloud technologies.
  • Design, install, and configure network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software.
  • Plan and implement proactive management and monitoring solutions using enterprise‑class tools.
  • Ensure the reliability, security, performance, and availability of critical systems and network through advanced monitoring techniques.
  • Provide third‑level technical support for complex network and infrastructure issues.
  • Serve as an escalation point for resolving high‑impact infrastructure challenges.
  • Develop and implement advanced troubleshooting procedures, best practices, and security measures.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, diagrams and logging for networks, network and security devices, infrastructure systems and processes.
  • Writes automation scripts/code to improve build/release tools, systems, and processes.
  • Help implement optimal cloud resources for executing workloads and optimizing cloud spend.
  • Provide on‑call support as required to ensure timely resolution of critical after‑hours issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Broad knowledge of networking, routing and switching.
  • Practical knowledge of program or project management.
Required Skills
  • Network Architecture, Design, Installation and Implementation.
  • Security Configuration (Firewalls, Load Balancers, IPS).
  • Troubleshooting (LAN, WAN, all layers of the OSI Model, including Layer 1 Cabling, Media, Optics, and Network Adapters).
  • Cloud Networking Infrastructure.
  • Mentorship & Technical Leadership.
Licensing, Registration and/or Certifications
  • CCIE or CCNA desirable but not required.
Physical Requirements
  • May require travel once per year.
Salary Range & Benefits
  • Salary: $140,000 to $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
  • Annual bonus eligibility based on defined performance objectives.
  • Up to 9 paid company holidays per year.
  • Up to 6 days of sick pay.
  • Earnable PTO: up to 17 days per year for employees with less than 10 years of service, up to 22 days for 10+ years.
