DNOC LeadKey responsibilities include supporting the customer’s computer data communications systems, providing design specifications, testing and inspections for computer networks; planning and implementing upgrades; and analyzing and organizing corresponding hardware and software solutions through network monitoring and modeling.
Description ofJob Duties / Responsibilities
This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. Work to be performed at a government customer site in Aurora, CO.
- Supervise network support and client server specialists in the planning, coordination, and implementation of network operations, maintenance, repair, or upgrades.
- Train and manage a team of network support specialists to provide incident response support to the Tier 2 and Tier 3 network engineers in the resolution of incident tickets.
- Support operations team with administering networks to include hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
- Develop and implements methodologies for analysis, testing, monitoring, and support of LAN and WAN networks.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of new network technologies into the network to ensure the NOC can provide the client with robust and proactive monitoring of network health.
- Support the analysis of incident trends, escalation of incidents to problems, and development of solutions to resolve network issues.
- Perform configuration management functions to ensure asset management records are accurate and concise.
- Leverage various network tools to quickly identify and isolate customer impacting events on the network.
- Communicate and troubleshoot with vendors and other service providers to efficiently resolve incidents.
- Diagnose hardware and software problems and replace defective components.
- Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience.
- Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (VLAN’s).
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Brocade and Foundry OS.
- Familiar (doesn’t need to be a SME) with Layer 3 protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE. Familiar with Viso and Service Now.
TS/SCI with polygraph.
Required QualificationsCandidate must have 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 8 years, master’s and 10 years, bachelor’s and 12 years, associate’s and 14 years or HS diploma and 16 years.
Additional required qualifications include:
Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
Our DNOC Lead (NE III) (Government) earns between $98,100 - $220,946 yearly. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
