API Testing Specialist

Job Description:

• 3 + Years of Experience in Manual API Testing
• Having good knowledge on the Micro Services Architecture
• Having good knowledge on API Testing tools (Postman & CURL)
• Basic Knowledge on Kubernetes, AWS, GIT Lab & Splunk
• Developing test plans, strategies, test scenarios and test cases.
• Conducting test execution and Expertise in Jira defect management.
• Reviewing and approving test designs and approaches.
• Identifying and addressing testing issues and risks.
• Investigating and resolving testing issues and challenges with less guidance.
• Implementing API test automation for Backend Micro Services
• Keeping up to date with industry best practices and technologies in testing.
• Reporting test results and providing test metrics to stakeholders.
• Having Experience in API Performance testing would be a value add
• Willing to Learn Attitude and being Flexible
• Having Exposure to Python & Shell Scripting would be a value add to develop testing tools
• Having good knowledge about sequence diagrams

Experience and Expertise:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manual API Testing

Knowledge and

Skills:

• Good knowledge of Micro Services Architecture
• Proficient in API Testing tools like Postman & CURL
• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS & GIT Lab
• Good Knowledge in Splunk

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Developing test plans, strategies, and test cases for API’s
• Reviewing and approving test designs and approaches
• Conducting test execution and expertise in Jira defect management
• Identifying and addressing testing issues and risks
• Investigating and resolving testing issues and challenges with less guidance
• Reporting test results and providing test metrics to stakeholders
• Implementing & Maintaining API test automation scripts
• Analyze Logs using Splunk during test process to Identify patterns & errors to make troubleshooting easier
• Monitor Services in Production using Splunk
• Develop tools using Python or Shell Scripting to support Test Execution and Analysis if required

Value Add:

• Experience in Test Automation would be a value add
• Exposure to Python & Shell Scripting would be a value add to develop testing tools.
• Experience in test data management and maintaining test environments effectively
• Strong Understanding of RESTful API Design principles and best practices, enabling better test case design
• Ability to Implement and Maintain Test Automation frameworks for scalable and maintainable testing

Required Skills :
Need to be API focused, the role is all API testing, so need in depth/high level experience with APIs and in depth Microservices. Also need:
Kubernetes knowledge, Splunk, Cloud experience, Gitlab (nice to have) 100% manual testing
