QA Analyst I
This position focuses on the hands-on functional testing and certification of smartphones and connected mobile devices to ensure they meet quality standards before commercial launch. The role involves executing manual test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and validating software fixes. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and have a passion for mobile technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual functional, regression, and acceptance testing on smartphones, tablets, and wearables.
- The primary focus will be executing pre-existing test cases.
- Validate carrier-specific functionality such as voice/video calling, messaging, data connectivity, and network protocols (5G, LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi Calling).
- Accurately identify, reproduce, and document software defects using ticketing systems.
- Collect diagnostic information like logs and screenshots to assist engineering teams.
- Validate software fixes through regression testing to ensure issue resolution.
- Maintain detailed test documentation and certification records.
- Participate in project meetings to communicate testing status, risks, and issues.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or testing device software, including internships.
- Experience working with ticketing systems such as Jira.
- Developed problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Basic understanding of Android and iOS operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the cellular, WiFi, or telecommunications industry.
- Familiarity with Python for scripting.
- Experience with modem log analysis tools.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
