Position Overview

We are seeking a Network Engineer II to support the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure. This role requires hands-on experience with DOCSIS and DPOE systems, network architecture, routing protocols, and network security technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation and the ability to assess, troubleshoot, and enhance complex network environments.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure and related hardware/software solutions.
Design, document, and maintain network architecture and topology diagrams.
Perform assessments of existing technologies to identify performance, reliability, and capacity gaps.
Develop recommendations to optimize network infrastructure and improve service delivery.
Configure, program, and maintain routers, switches, and other network devices.
Establish security standards, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, access controls, and connectivity parameters.
Test, tune, and optimize network security devices and systems.
Implement and support communications technologies, including data and voice networks.
Manage network services and projects from planning through implementation and deployment.
Troubleshoot complex network performance, connectivity, and security issues.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to support infrastructure initiatives.
Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

2-5 years of experience in Network Engineering, Network Administration, or related technical roles.
Strong knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
Experience with enterprise network hardware and software platforms.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and related networking technologies.
Experience with network performance monitoring and capacity planning.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certification.
Experience in telecommunications, broadband, cable, or service provider environments.
Exposure to network automation and scripting tools.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or carrier-class network environments.
