You're a motivated student with a current 3.0 GPA or higher currently pursuing a degree in one of the following areas from an accredited college or university:
Computer Science, Data Science, Information Science, Computer Information Systems.

This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship designed to give you real-world experience and meaningful exposure to the telecommunications industry in your chosen field. Internship program runs from May 26 through August 6, 2027. In addition to role-specific projects, you'll take part in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, mentorship and experiences that help you grow personally and professionally.

What you can expect in this role

As a Spectrum intern, you'll spend the summer working alongside two teams: your respective department and your intern cohort. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on internship experiences that include a kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects and final presentations. This experience is designed to help you explore your interests, expand your network and leave with a deeper understanding of both your field and the impact of our business.

Internship responsibilities may include:

• The GenAI Team Data Science Intern provides essential support by executing structured evaluation tasks, building and maintaining test datasets, documenting processes, and assisting with reporting. This position plays a critical role in enabling the team to scale AI evaluation output across Charter's AI platforms.
• The intern will be working on:
  Building and maintaining gold-standard Q&A datasets by collecting, formatting, and validating test questions. Pulling and organizing usage data and metrics into summary reports. Assisting with data preparation tasks. Supporting dashboard and metric development. Attending team meetings and prompt triage office hours to build domain knowledge of AI evaluation practices.

Required qualifications

• Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor's degree
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
• Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Python, basic understanding of large language models and AI/ML concepts, familiarity with APIs and JSON and AI assistants/agents, strong written communication, and attention to detail
