Spectrum Internship Experience
At a Glance
You're a motivated student with a current 3.0 GPA or higher currently pursuing a degree in one of the following areas from an accredited college or university:
Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Quantum Engineering Software.
This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship designed to give you real-world experience and meaningful exposure to the telecommunications industry in your chosen field.
Internship program runs from May 26 through August 6, 2027.
In addition to role-specific projects, you'll take part in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, mentorship and experiences that help you grow personally and professionally.

What you can expect in this role
As a Spectrum intern, you'll spend the summer working alongside two teams: your respective department and your intern cohort.
Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on internship experiences that include a kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects and final presentations.
This experience is designed to help you explore your interests, expand your network and leave with a deeper understanding of both your field and the impact of our business.
Internship responsibilities may include:
- The Data Science Intern supports the team's analytics and AI initiatives by working hands-on with data and early-stage models. In this role, you'll write Python (or a comparable language) using core data libraries such as pandas, Num Py, and scikit-learn; query and manipulate large datasets using big data tools like Big Query; prepare and structure data for AI and machine learning applications;
and develop basic statistical models to support business decisions. This internship offers exposure to the full data lifecycle — from raw data through model development — alongside experienced data scientists and engineers. - Work with Python (or similar language) and relevant data libraries (pandas, scikit, Num Py, etc);
Work with big data tools (SE, Big Query, etc.);
Data preparation for AI;
Developing basic statistical models
Required qualifications
- Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor's degree
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
- Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
