We are rapidly expanding in the Denver, Colorado area!

Ramon.

Space is making the final frontier possible by accelerating the future of space computing by bringing resilient, Earth-like digital infrastructure to orbit. Our cutting-edge, software-defined technology equips satellites with advanced storage, processing, and connectivity capabilities - powering smart, efficient, and fully adaptable missions across communications, 5G non-terrestrial networks (NTN), earth observation, and space-based data centers.

As we scale our U.S. presence, we're deepening our work with both commercial operators and U.S. government partners who are driving the next generation of space innovation. From mission-critical national security applications to high-growth commercial constellations, our proven computing platforms deliver the performance, reliability, and flexibility needed to unlock new capability in orbit. Selected by the world's leading satellite operators, Ramon.

Space is defining how the industry builds, deploys, and evolves digital missions in space.

We are a global team of 100+ employees across the US, United Kingdom, and Israel. If you are looking to make an impact, come and join our team.

We are looking for a talented Buyer and Materials Planner to run material planning and procurement execution for our U.S. space hardware programs. This role turns bills of material, engineering releases, and program schedules into material plans, purchase orders, and a clear picture of what is short and what is  also owns change order management and the working relationship with our contract electronics manufacturer (CEM) and key suppliers, making sure both sides are building to the same configuration and the same dates.

This is a hands-on execution seat at a site that is standing up its supply chain function from the ground up. Today the U.S. plans material in spreadsheets. You will do the work and help build the system that replaces them. The role reports to the Director of U.S. Supply Chain.

What you will be doing
  • Turn released bills of material (BOMs), engineering changes, and program schedules into a working material plan for the U.S. programs, and maintain a shortage view that shows BOM quantity, on-hand, demand, lead time, need-by date, open purchase order (PO) dates, and risk.
  • Place and manage purchase orders for production, engineering, long-lead, high-value, and sole-source material, including PO creation, approval routing, follow-up, expediting, supplier commit tracking, and past-due management.
  • Own the day-to-day working interface with our contract electronics manufacturer (CEM): demand handoff, kit and shortage reconciliation, and keeping our BOM and material data in agreement with theirs.
  • Own change order management end to end. Take engineering change orders (ECOs) and engineering change notices (ECNs) from release through to updated supplier and contract manufacturer records, confirm both sides are building to the current configuration, and quantify the material, cost, and schedule impact of every change before it is accepted. This is a core part of the role, not an occasional task.
  • Maintain planning and procurement master data, including item records, lead times, sourcing information, supplier records, order policies, and planning assumptions across our product lifecycle management (PLM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Identify long-lead and at-risk parts early enough to do something about them and bring engineering real options while there is still time, whether that is an engineering-model equivalent, a downgrade, or an alternate source.
  • Work with suppliers and distributors directly on quotes, lead times, commits, delivery, and issue resolution, and help onboard new suppliers as the U.S. supply base grows.
  • Run a simple operating cadence for shortage reviews, long-lead material reviews, purchase order status, and material readiness against build milestones.
  • Help move U.S. material planning off spreadsheets and into a real material requirement planning (MRP) and ERP process, including data cleanup, reporting, and process definition as the site scales.
  • Brief the Director of U.S. Supply Chain and program teams on material readiness, shortage risk, supplier delivery status, and the decisions needed to hold schedule.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, operations, engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of combined buying and materials planning experience in aerospace, defense, space, electronics manufacturing, or another high-reliability hardware environment.
  • Hands-on experience placing and managing purchase orders and running BOM-driven material planning in MRP or ERP systems.
  • Direct experience with change order management: working ECOs or ECNs through procurement, updating supplier and manufacturer records to the current configuration, and assessing the material and schedule impact of a change.
  • Working knowledge of item…
