The Supervisor Telecom Construction Underground will manage two to four crews, consisting of crew leaders or foremen, ensuring daily production goals are met, safety policies are followed, and production records are kept. The role includes coordinating pre‑construction meetings, handling communication with external customers and city inspectors, and maintaining as‑builds.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee and lead crews in meeting and maintaining daily production goals as well as maintaining production records.
  • Coordinate with direct manager to invoice jobs in a timely manner as established in company policy and area goals for each job.
  • Ensure all company safety policies, OSHA, DOT, and any special project requirements are complied with for each crew assignment.
  • Conduct accident investigations, including job damage, employee injury, and vehicle accidents.
  • Attend all safety meetings with assigned crews.
  • Attend all in-house and outsourced training as adopted in company policy.
  • Work with the Superintendent on all property owner complaints and personally investigate all complaints.
  • Maintain 100% adherence to all company safety policies.
  • Communicate equipment needs to direct manager, including repair, maintenance, and rental needs.
  • Keep all trucks and equipment in a clean condition.
  • Responsible for staffing, training, and performance of employees, including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, discipline, and termination with Human Resources.
  • Consult direct manager before ordering or procuring new material.
  • Interface with customers frequently to discuss needs and jobs.
  • Complete a total of 8 JSO’s including auditing of direct reporting crews.
  • Complete daily DVIR as required.
  • Ensure assigned fleet is gate‑checked within a 45‑day timeframe.
What You’ll Need
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must pass a background check and company drug screening.
  • Must attend and pass all company required training as needed.
  • Valid state driver’s license (non‑provisional) with an acceptable driving record.
Additional Qualifications
  • 5–10 years of experience in telecommunications or utility construction.
  • Proven leadership experience guiding employees to produce high‑quality results and teamwork.
  • Any combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates ability to perform the designated job duties and responsibilities.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or drawing form; solve problems involving varied variables and stakeholders.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts (measurements in terms of distance, proportions, percentages, area); apply basic mathematics and accounting principles.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret documents such as safety rules, machine manuals, and process procedures; write reports; speak effectively to customers, coworkers, and vendors.
  • Ability to work after hours, on weekends, or be on‑call as needed to ensure work is completed.
Physical & Safety Requirements And The Working Environment
  • Stand, crouch, sit, bend; use hands and fingers; reach with arms; lift, hold, or stoop while on shift.
  • Noise level moderate; work in field and office environments.
  • Exposure to outside weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow, sleet, dust, and adverse driving conditions.
  • Required to lift or move up to 10 pounds and frequently up to 50 pounds.
  • Possible exposure to dust, fumes, airborne pathogens, toxic or corrosive chemicals, and moving machinery parts.
  • Specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception; adjust focus near or far as needed.
Pay Range

Annual wage range: $65,000 - $75,000, depending on experience.
