Additionally, Tersus reclaims and recycles down from apparel, bedding, and gear, extending the life of valuable materials and reducing waste.
Reporting to the Head of Operations and collaborating with every functional team at Tersus, you will be leading a team of Team Leads and Operations Associates to ensure the success of our brand partners. You will be responsible for hiring, coaching and growing your team while learning every aspect of the process required to make the team and Tersus successful. You are a leader willing to get your hands dirty while also stepping back to assess the entire process to know when and how to make changes and evolve with a growing business.
This is a physically demanding role but also requires some level of strategic thought and willingness to collaborate and communicate up and down the organization.
- Lead and manage a team supporting multiple customer accounts, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and developing team members and frontline leaders.
- Take full ownership of operational performance by developing your team and continuously improving processes to achieve monthly and annual goals for Tersus and its partners.
- Establish clear performance expectations for both individuals and teams; drive accountability and ensure goals are consistently communicated and achieved.
- Maximize team effectiveness by leading from the front, providing hands‑on support, and delivering ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Utilize internal systems and tools to monitor employee performance, track labor hours, and ensure compliance with company policies and the Employee Handbook.
- Maintain consistent, effective communication with your manager and team members on a daily basis.
- Serve as the operational lead and primary point of contact for external partners and customers.
- Uphold a high standard of professionalism, empathy, and adaptability in a fast‑changing operational environment.

- Proven experience managing and developing a team of hourly employees.
- Hands‑on experience working in a physical operations environment.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable engaging with executive management and business leaders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth, and sometimes ambiguous start‑up environment.
- Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to act independently while bringing new ideas to the table.
- Warehouse or laundry experience – experience in e‑commerce/retail distribution and fulfillment, either vertically integrated or 3PL.
- Worked with apparel or outdoor brands.
- Interest or experience in the circular economy.
- Competitive salary: $55,000 - $70,000 (commensurate with experience)
