Control Solutions Inc., a Crete United Company is seeking an experienced Controls Programmer to join our Software Group within the Controls Division. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programming logic for building automation systems (BAS), with a focus on high-quality project delivery and field commissioning.
This is a senior-level role ideal for someone with strong Niagara N4 or AX experience who enjoys a mix of office and fieldwork and has a passion for smart building technology. You’ll lead software efforts on assigned projects, mentor junior technicians, and uphold quality standards across every job.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram, test, and commission Building Automation Systems (BAS) using platforms such as Niagara N4.
Lead software aspects of assigned projects from programming through commissioning.
Collaborate with engineering, field, and project management teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.
Support system startup and troubleshoot controls and integration issues on‑site.
Mentor and guide junior software technicians.
Review and audit work completed by junior team members for quality and adherence to standards.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is a plus.
5+ years of experience in BAS programming and integration.
Mastery of BAS protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LONworks).
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction and design documents.
Strong understanding of network infrastructure and Ethernet-based systems.
Comfortable working on active job sites, ladders, and high lifts.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
