Manufacturing Technician

The Manufacturing Technician plays a critical role in Res Med's Production & Assembly function, responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and packing products to meet quality and operational standards. This position ensures smooth day-to-day production operations, supports changing demands, and maintains compliance with Res Med's Quality, OH&S, and GMP policies as well as regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Assembly Operations

  • Manufacture, assemble, and pack products according to specifications.
  • Program, set up, and monitor production equipment and processes.
  • Perform quality control checks on incoming materials and finished goods.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards at all times.

Maintenance & Calibration

  • Support tooling, plant, and equipment maintenance activities.
  • Document and maintain manufacturing equipment calibration systems.

Process Improvement

  • Assist in developing methods and procedures to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and quality improvements.

Collaboration & Support

  • Interact with internal teams to exchange information and resolve issues.
  • Act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.
Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Vocational training or equivalent experience in manufacturing or production.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production procedures and ability to handle non-routine situations.
  • Ability to identify key issues and patterns from partial or conflicting data.

Preferred:

  • Diploma in a relevant field.
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment programming and calibration.
  • Familiarity with GMP and OH&S compliance standards.
