- Manage the cardiovascular operating room environment and coordinate care throughout surgical procedures including AVR, MVR, CABG, Bentall, and aortic dissection cases
- Assist surgeons during open heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic status throughout intraoperative care
- Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care in accordance with unit protocols
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, surgical technologists, PCTs, and trauma teams
- Fulfill on-call obligations as assigned, including evening call shifts and rotating weekend call coverage
- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital experience as a CVOR RN
- Open heart surgery experience is required
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Level I trauma center experience
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
- Additional cardiovascular subspecialty experience
- Work within a well-staffed, high-volume cardiovascular OR featuring 14 operating rooms and a experienced team of over 70 FTEs
- Gain exposure to a broad range of complex cardiovascular surgical procedures in a dynamic acute care environment
