Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse Medical Acute Care, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care, collaborating with medical providers and the care team. You will follow established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage" and act as an advocate for patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s); ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response.
  • Respond promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipate patient needs, and resolve them.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow‑up measures, ensuring complete understanding.
Qualifications
  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi‑state Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Acute care Registered Nurse experience preferred.
