Hourly Wage Estimate: $36.50 - $55.25 / hour
Job Summary and QualificationsCardiovascular Specialist – Cath Lab Registered Nurse responsible for routine care, maintenance of radiological equipment, quality patient care, and assistance in invasive and non‑invasive cardiac procedures in a 24/7 Cath Lab environment. You will explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety, work within a multidisciplinary team, be on‑call for emergency cases, manage critical patient care, administer medications, and coordinate pre‑ and post‑procedure processes and communication.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain radiological equipment and cath lab competencies.
- Ensure quality patient care during routine and emergency procedures.
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety.
- Work within a team and be available for "on‑call" assignments, returning within 30 minutes for emergencies.
- Handle high‑risk emergency situations with discretion and confidentiality.
- Interact with physicians during routine and emergency procedures, recording data.
- Administer medications per doctor’s orders while the patient is in the lab.
- Communicate pre‑procedure preparation and post‑procedure recovery, discharge, and follow‑up appointments.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Colorado Registered Nurse license with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- 2‑3 years of experience in a specialty unit (Critical Care, ED, PACU, or Radiology) preferred.
- Proficiency in cardiology nursing procedures, cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation, and cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics, and rhythm interpretation.
