Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool Med/Surg position at a hospital in the Denver area, with a day shift schedule and a minimum of 1 year of acute care experience required.

Job Details

• Float Pool position on a Spine unit within a hospital setting (8 Tower, Main Building),

• Unit has 18-20 beds and a staff of approximately 35,

• Patient ratio is 6:1 with LPN support,

• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 2-3 RNs, 1 LPN, and 1-3 PCTs; night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 1 LPN, and 1-2 PCTs,

• Common equipment includes Hoyer lifts, air mattresses, wound vacs, and PCA pumps,

• EMR:
Meditech,

• Day shift hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required,

• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start),

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital Med/Surg experience required,

• ACLS preferred,

• Burn care experience preferred,

• Wound care and ostomy care experience preferred,

• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration - no exceptions,

• One professional reference required,

• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include wound and dressing care for post-operative burn and flap patients,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility - local candidates are not eligible for this position,

• Team-oriented, positive attitude is a strong fit for this unit
