Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner – Cardiology

Position Overview

UCHealth’s Heart and Vascular Team in Highlands Ranch, CO seeks a dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their full‑time practice. Candidates should be enthusiastic, empathetic, and adopt a patient‑first mindset while working independently in a collaborative environment.

• Provide high‑quality cardiac care under the guidance of the medical team.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Work autonomously and adapt to evolving clinical needs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary discussions and contribute to continual improvement of patient services.

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies.
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in Colorado.
• PA‑C certification issued by the NCCPA, maintained throughout employment.
• Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe all medications common in practice.
• Eligibility to provide reimbursable services and maintain Medicare/Medicaid provider status.
• Eligibility to provide services with no sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA.
• Unrestricted medical‑staff membership with appropriate practice privileges.
• Prescriptive authority per medical‑staff privileging.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

• Master’s degree in nursing and graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• NP certification issued by ANCC or AANPCB, maintained throughout employment.
• Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State Board of Nursing or multi‑state licensure compact privileges.
• Unrestricted medical‑staff membership with appropriate practice privileges.
• Full prescriptive authority.
• Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe all medications common in practice.
• Eligibility to provide reimbursable services and maintain Medicare/Medicaid provider status.
• Eligibility to provide services with no sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

• Competitive compensation: $115,000 – $150,000 annually with potential quality or productivity bonus.
