Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Women's Surgical Med/Surg unit position on a night shift schedule, requiring at least 2 years of acute care experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Job Details

• 18-bed Women's Surgical unit (5

East) in a hospital setting,

• Patient population includes post-operative gynecological, urological, and oncological surgical patients,

• Patient ratio of 6:1,

• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM,

• Night shift team consists of 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, and 1-2 techs,

• Common procedures include post-op assessments, post-prostatectomy care, post-hysterectomy care, continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), pain management including PCAs and epidurals, and Foley catheter maintenance,

• EMR:
Meditech (prior experience preferred),

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required,

• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start),

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital Med/Surg experience,

• US SSN and DOB required for consideration - no exceptions;
Canadian SSNs not accepted,

• One professional reference required,

• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,

Additional Information

• GYN/Oncology, urology, and post-operative Med/Surg experience are preferred and will be prioritized,

• Prior Meditech EMR experience is preferred,

• The unit is known for a strong team culture, low staff turnover (6%), and a collaborative relationship with providers and surgeons,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility - local candidates are not eligible, no exceptions
