RN - Cardiac ICU
This travel RN position is in a Cardiac ICU unit. The unit consists of 16 beds and has a staff of 60. The day shift includes 1 Charge RN, 8 RNs, and 1 PCT for a census of 14 patients. The night shift similarly requires 1 Charge RN, 8 RNs, and 1 PCT. The patient ratio is 1 RN to 2 patients.
Equipment used includes cardiac monitoring devices, ventilators, IV pumps, tube feed pumps, and Swan. The electronic medical record system is Meditech. Preferred candidates will have experience with neuro and medical ICU populations. Prior experience with the Meditech system is also preferred. Typical procedures performed on the unit include intubations and central line placements. The ideal candidate is collaborative and a team player.
Patient care experience is a priority for this role.
