Job Overview

Position: Charge RN – Labor and Delivery

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion, Aurora, CO, USA

Department: Labor and Delivery

Work Schedule: Full Time, 72 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Nights

Pay: $40.86 - $63.33 per hour (dependent on experience)

Onsite: This is an onsite role with no hybrid or remote option.

Minimum Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited or state board–approved Registered/Professional Nursing program. Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited or state board–approved program within three years of assuming the Charge RN position.
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
  • One year of nursing experience.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • BLS or CPR card (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) valid through 60 days of hire.
Responsibilities
  • Provide top‑scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
  • Value a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes.
  • Prioritize wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence‑based practice.
  • Model proficiency by precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth.
  • Welcome new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment.
  • Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care.
Women's Care and Infants
  • Direct care units include Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery – Birth Center, Women’s Care, and NICU.
  • AWHONN and AACN practice standards and certifications (RNC‑OB, C‑EFM, NRP, CCRN) guide evidence‑based care models.
  • Clinical Educators support and guide individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation.
