Responsibilities- Serve as primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care prior to admission and procedure/surgery.
- Obtain patient history and current medications, ensuring nursing assessment is completed and standard of care initiated.
- Obtain and/or coordinate pre‑admission diagnostic testing (EKGs, Labs, CXR, etc.), analyze pertinent data, communicate findings, and document information accurately.
- Initiate and document pre‑procedure/operative instruction and discharge teaching, involving patient and family/significant other.
- May work telephonically or in‑person with the patient.
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi‑state Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- BSN preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in PACU, Ambulatory, Critical Care/ED.
