Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Imc/Pcu/Stepdown Registered Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units, ensuring safe and effective treatment. Play a vital role in managing high-acuity patients with a focus on post-acute care and stabilization.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, telemetry, and other critical data.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including drips and advanced procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in the EMR system.
• Assist with procedures such as chest tube management, EKGs, and post-operative care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of current acute care experience in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units.
• Demonstrate proficiency in telemetry, hemodynamic monitoring, and complex medication administration.
• Have current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Possess experience with chest tube management, pacer wires, and advanced cardiac procedures preferred.
• Be flexible, adaptable, and a strong team player.
