Registered Nurse – Oncology

Oncology Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in an outpatient radiation oncology clinic. Deliver compassionate support and education to patients undergoing radiation therapy, ensuring optimal treatment experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy treatments and monitor patient responses.
• Educate patients on radiation side effects and symptom management strategies.
• Coordinate care with physicians, physicists, and front office staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
• Document patient care activities accurately using Meditech and Mosaic EMRs.
• Assess and respond to patient needs, managing symptoms such as skin changes and fatigue.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment compliant with facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with a minimum of 1-year acute care experience in Radiation Oncology.
• Valid BLS certification.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) credential or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working with Meditech and Mosaic electronic health records preferred.
• Compassionate personality with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
