Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated RN for Medical Surgical unit in a high-volume acute care hospital. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care on a fast-paced floor with advanced equipment and technology.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver bedside care to post-op burn, wound, and flap patients, ensuring compliance with medical protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assess clinical status regularly to detect and respond to changes.
• Administer medications, wound care, dressings, and manage wound vacs and PCA devices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and treatment procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license without restrictions.
• Possess a minimum of 1-year acute care Med/Surg experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in wound, burn, and ostomy care.
• Maintain BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Show ability to work effectively in a team environment with positive attitude.
• Experience with Meditech EMR is required.
