- Assess patients and plan care within set time‑frames; document findings according to policies.
- Oversee and supervise the shift; demonstrate leadership through delegation of tasks (e.g., group work, close observation, meal supervision). Ensure staff follow nursing policies and procedures and consistently provide exemplary patient care.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond accordingly, including notifying the physician up to and including notifications of critical changes.
- Follow hospital policy for medication administration.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary range: $36 - $48 per hour.
Qualifications- Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program or hold relevant state licensure.
- Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred. Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.
- Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing.
- CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact. Must be at least 21 years of age.
