Registered Nurse PACU

Job Summary:

Provide specialized postoperative care to patients recovering from anesthesia in a fast-paced PACU setting. Ensure patient safety, monitor vital signs, and assist with recovery procedures to facilitate smooth transitions from surgery to discharge or transfer.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient conditions closely during recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer prescribed medications and interventions to manage pain and nausea.
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EMR.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and staff to provide seamless patient care.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations with appropriate interventions.
• Follow unit policies, safety standards, and guidelines to maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in the state of practice.
• Possess 2+ years of critical care or PACU experience.
• Have current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and urgent situation management skills.
• Ability to adapt to flexible schedules and fast-moving environments.
• Prefer experience with stroke care, neuro cases, or interventional radiology procedures.
