Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Summary:

Seeking a seasoned OR RN for a seasonal travel assignment at a busy hospital. This position offers the opportunity to work on a high-volume surgical unit with experienced staff and advanced technology.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct circulating and scrub procedures for various surgical cases including angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and orthopedics/spine.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining standard OR equipment, including Stryker video systems and EMR systems.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff to ensure a smooth operative process.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and unit guidelines, including on-call responsibilities.
• Provide exceptional patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Document all clinical activities accurately in the Meditech system.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license and current hospital acute care experience of at least 1 year.
• Possess BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate circulating and scrubbing experience within the operating room.
• Experience with Meditech EMR system preferred.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and adaptability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
