Staffing: 12 RNs

Patient Ratios:

• 4 patients in preoperative area
• 1-2 patients in PACU (estimated)

This unit is focused on providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. The team collaborates closely with multiple departments and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support for patients recovering from anesthesia.

Minimum Requirements:

• 1 year of current PACU experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPAN certification
• CAPA certification
• Critical Care experience

Common procedures performed in the PACU include:

• Nerve Blocks
• Orthopedic Surgeries
• Spine Procedures
• Neurology Surgeries
• Interventional Radiology
• ENT Surgeries
• General Surgery
• Gastrointestinal Procedures
• Vascular Surgeries
• Colorectal Surgeries
