Job SummaryAs a PACU Registered Nurse, you play a critical role in the immediate post‑operative care of surgical patients. Your responsibilities include managing airway support, closely monitoring neurological and cardiac status, responding promptly to any complications, providing initial wound care, ensuring patient stability during recovery, and collaborating with the surgical and anesthesia team. The role includes on‑call availability during select non‑business hours as discussed in the interview.
Responsibilities- Oversee and direct the care of the post‑surgical/post‑procedural patient.
- Bring specialized skills to serve specific age groups, including adult, adolescent, geriatric, or pediatric populations.
- Rotate to areas other than your assigned service area and perform duties for which you have demonstrated competency.
- Oversee and direct the care of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients.
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi‑state Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- ACLS and PALS certifications.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience required; PACU, Ambulatory, Critical Care, or ED experience preferred.
